IN THE MIDST OF THINGS

In the midst of things
silence pushes forward a pause.
Whomever should follow empty footsteps
overshadowed within inhumane planes
shall falter at first
bound to burst
drowning in their own self sorrow.
The manipulating sweaty palms
pave the way
for crooked fingers
lingering in foul play.
Quenching the qualms of outstretched arms
A shoulder to cry on awaiting to calm.
In the midst of things
walk sinful beings
for evil hides in the ignorant eyes
of unaware souls
deprived of seeing.

Beautifully written piece of poetry Carey and the strength is not only seen in the selected imagery but felt throughout the words it contains..Jim..........Lines of interest:
The manipulating sweaty palms
pave the way
for crooked fingers
lingering in foul play.

In the midst of things
walk sinful beings
for evil hides in the ignorant eyes
