Migraines

Migraines

Pain,
sears through your skull.
I have to keep going,
but the pain is too much.
Throbbing, aching,
the room spinning.
I feel faint,
but I don't fall.
Got to push forward,
one step at a time.
One throb, one ache,
all just pain.
Useless, pointless,
but then.
Starts to fade away,
ever so slightly.
Then,
pounds back again.
More pain,
more sorrow.
Until it's gone,
thrown away.
To be replaced with,
something that everyone knows.
It's to be replaced with,
joy.
