Millennium Park Festival

Millennium Park Festival

The windy city takes me to my favorite time of year a holiday style ice skating rink

In the Millennium Park with children and families in scarves and caps and ice skates as shoes

They hold hands and circle past me as the carolers harmonize behind them

As I drink my cup of hot chocolate I feel snowflakes starting to fall on my eyelashes

And a horse and buggy ride come to greet me to take me down the street giant snowflakes

Now the size of quarters I am so happy to see the sites, the skaters start to sing

We wish you a Merry Christmas now I am feeling the greatness of the spirit

While the pine cut wreaths are decorated on each street light I simply feel the mood

A mood that the Millennium Park gives me each holiday season and the ice sculpts

Designed are lined up for display as the artists rose colored cheeks they chisel away

Bit by bit the ice begins to shape, now this entire show is a festival for all to see

The marvel of Chicago and the best times each year with family and friends

And great holiday cheer
