Mindfulness

Mindfulness

Cbt session in practise against intrusive thoughts and anxiety

She whispers now,

Faintly, softly

A breath of word to enter thee,

Contained within, her intentions summon

To claim her hold when expecting I'm least,

With worry and anguish

She begins to feast

Driven behind by strength of mind

With lessons learnt and words of kind

Waiting She dwells deep within

A moments lapse, my mind may wander

For a second shall be all to awaken

She rallies together thoughts to intrude

Voices and memories of all that was wrong

Beats to the drum as she plays out her song

Out loud I begin to look to my teaching

The why's,the what's, the reality

For this moment I exist in

I drive my thoughts with positive might

Unshackle myself from burdens bestowed

To which solutions can yet be found

I hear her scream high pitch penetrates brain

Reaching I hold my head in a clasp

Striking pain unsteady upon feet

Closing my eyes I centre my gravity

With my eyes open I hear her beat in the distance

Fading away but sure to return

My Darkened days ignite her soul

For now she lies beaten

My peace she challenged remains intact

Exhausted I breathe and forge my battle upon paper

Within it hope that help so sought

Will take me in from forgotten and later.
