MIRAGE

Mirror image
An echoed mirage
Upon reflection
Guilty as charched.
Unable to gaze
Upon her face
Knowing her once pure soul
Was disgraced.
She asks....
"How much time
Can one clock erase?"
Now her spirit is dying
Behind the glass
She asks....
"How much time
Can one leave in the past?"
Thus a spell was cast
Blinding her beauty
An unfaithful affair
Love was lost
Hexed by cruelty.
An oasis of deceit
Ran deep
Within her veins
Caught in the heat
She lusted to cheat
And this secret did creep
Now no longer discreet
As her lovers...two
Were destined to meet.
For each other they knew
Yet she had no clue
Of the imminent loss
Her once beautiful hue
Was now a shattered
Hideous view.
