Mirror Mirror On The Wall

Mirror Mirror On The Wall

Who is one of the luckiest men of us all?
Me - most of us commit indiscretions, had a ball;
if we were held to account, it may not be very good,
that's gone, probably wouldn't change things if we could.

Now, that mirror suddenly had a giraffe looking at me,
it's a miracle I can concentrate with this diversity;
what would you wish to have looking back at you?
Oh, a good looker, rich, with a fancy Cadillac too.

Are the rich unhappy, some, when a poor man looks back,
why should they worry if there's nothing they would lack;
I would like peace to return my gaze, some tranquility,
spiritual enlightenment would really be the best for me.

That giraffe gave a smile, markings ran off down a path,
I asked him if his life hurt, he said: 'Only when I laugh.'
