Poem -

Misguided

Oh that language is read

And the mind truly fed,

But alas! the poet’s day is gone

And it is the musicians’ song

That resounds aloud today,

What more can I say?

Is imagination a lost art

That the pen from a poet’s heart

Cannot rekindle the flame,

Igniting passions once again;

Life should be a softer hue,

What is your view?

This misguided generation dies

Never hearing the poet’s cries

That expresses a different choice

To the TV’s noise;

Echoes reverberate today

But what do you hear?

Words are steps along the way

As we travel to that eternal day,

And our thoughts are the scenery

Hopefully revealing the greenery,

This is the poet’s view;

I hope it is true for you?
