Mom

Why did you act that way

Why must you continue with these untruths

You found out because of me

About two years ago

When I made you think about certain traits in our family

You connected the dots after our conversation

And now you act like you were the one

Putting the pieces of this puzzle together

And not telling me for my own good

When he wasn't even in the picture back then

You should be ashamed of yourself

But I caught on pretty quickly

What you were up to

And I still can't believe that

My own mother has to

Reinvent the truth every single time

You don't know that I know

But I do!
