Mom Wouldn't Have a Tomorrow

When people die too young, we never expect them to.
It happened to me and it could also happen to you.
Many people loved my mom because of her personality.
She was only 64, I wasn't prepared for Mom's mortality.
When we have young relatives, we don't expect to lose them.
We don't expect the young to die and when it happens, it is grim.
I was wrong when I thought that Mom had another ten to fifteen years.
I was mistaken and my heart was broken because she's no longer here.
Mom loved me and I loved her more than anybody else on the Earth.
When I learned that she would die, I truly learned what she was worth.
I did not realize that Mom wouldn't have a tomorrow.
When she died, I was consumed by pain and sorrow.
Even if your loved one is a child, he or she is somebody who you must treasure and appreciate.
Savor every moment that you have with your loved ones because tomorrow may be too late.
[Dedicated to Agnes Johnson (1948-2013) who passed away on March 6, 2013.]
