Moonlight Shadows
We left the garden shadows that shouldn't have been,
they morphed into figures that were no longer seen;
blues and purples intersected with golden threads,
chased running figures which flashed across heads.
They must be making love again, thro' wind and rain,
but now they've left their world, never the same again;
from tree to tree, peeping around with grinning abound,
thro' darkened leaves was where their moonlight found.
You must be jealous of the power that they possess,
so satisfy yourself with what's more can only be less;
nature made an archway so they could pass through,
all the starry iridescent night of gold and indigo blue.
It was time to be beyond your imagination as it were,
but if you let them enter, then magic will surely occur.
