MOONLIGHT SONATA

MOONLIGHT SONATA

Moonlight becomes you, it shines in your hair,
controls your moods, even when you're not there,
ebbs and flows, comes and goes, highs and lows,
when you're hidden, still shadows on your clothes.

The flag moved but there was no air on the moon,
disbelief and doubt was not coming anytime soon;
the old man saw you coming and then just leave,
how you waxed and waned was difficult to believe.

As the music played, it was ill met by proud Titania,
the sprites danced with a haired flower extravaganza;
my brother played the melody he'd taught himself to play,
up and down the scale until the music took you away.

Took you where you wanted to be in shades of mystery,
to lunar nights which lasted forever with magical eternity,
