Mosaic of dots

Co wrote by Sarfraz Ahmed & Pratibha Savani / Artwork by our friend Preeti Mistry

Mosaic of dots

      Dots on endless circles
   Vibrant colours
 Imprinted upon the surface
    Like a patchwork quilt
And mesmerised by its grace and power

       Intertwining
And winding like a trapeze artist
   In precise mid flow
    And spiralling out of control

        Dots on endless circles
     Vibrant colours
    Are a constant reminder
       Of my artistic nature

Like those on a dance floor
   Oozing generous colour
In a mosaic of flawless dots
   A masterpiece jewelled to perfection
      A little creation of imagination

Our Australian Indigenous artists are all about the dots. Dreamtime/The Dreaming is often tied to the stars in the desert night sky, I think that may be why (how) it started.

Just thought I'd take some time to look back on your previous work. I found this one. What a beautiful and captivating read, I especially liked how you intertwined the lines to create a deep and fluid feeling. Like sowing a dress. Really enjoyed this one
