Mother of Meth

A mother's love is one of a kind
Doesn't quite happen that way all the time
To love me more than you love Meth, I can't say you've ever tried
Your humanity, your decency, wel,l that has died
I know you can't love anyone, especially me
So do me favor, set me free
Free from guilt, free from sorrow
I need to know if there is a better tomorrow.
So I leave you here, all alone, sweetest Mother of Meth
I have to let go, I gave it all my best.

This tears me up, seeing a mother who cares more for a high that never lasts than an innocent child that is for the rest of their life. It is a sick thing and causes an infected rippling in the waters of life, kids only learn at such a young age. I sadly enjoyed this write, a big problem in our country.
Wow Amber this is a true heart wrenching poem about addiction and all of the above thank you for sharing this is beautifully worded
Smiles .
