"Motivation In The God of Creation"

"What exactly motivates you,
to do the things that you do?
If it not be Jesus,
what is it and why?
Why give praise,
to what doesn't make you shine?

If it be drugs,
chosen to stay numb,
from what in the past,
you or another,
has said or done,
make your way now,
to The Path of God's Son,
because right now,
you're trying to fill,
A God Sized Hole,
with all the wrong things,
only your ruin and confusion,
will those devilish things bring.

If it be money,
and the acquirement of more,
Remember my friend,
that dollar sign,
will never be the cross!
Did money do for you,
what Jesus's Life cost?
I certainly think not!
Now don't be ashamed,
you may have just forgot,
to be grateful,
for all you have got,
instead focusing,
on mountain upon mountain,
of twenties and pennies,
because Living In God,
you will have more than plenty!

If it be lust,
I ask you this,
where does it say,
'In Sex we trust'?
A lonely road,
full of broken hearts,
and nameless faces,
that has taken you,
to some of the most,
darkest places.
I myself have committed,
this crime,
but in giving my will and life,
to Jesus,
He has changed my mind.
Such a fool I was,
all the years He was betrayed,
and I think to myself now,
'I should've stayed,
I should've stayed,'
and I pray,
my mistakes,
you use to your advantage,
because I serve An Amazing God,
of Second Chances,
and all I have to do is try,
to stay out of His Way,
so The Holy Spirit in me,
can fly!"
