My Baby No More

My Baby No More

It's seven in the morning, seven in the morning time

Thinking 'bout my baby, thinking 'bout my baby so fine

Last night we went dancing, dancing 'til the break of dawn

Just dancing with my baby, thinking nothing in the world

could go wrong

She said, "excuse me, please, I'll be right back ,"

then she puckered up her lips, and gave me a smack

Time is a passing, it's been an hour or so

Where can she be, 'cause we got to go

I asked the man at the door if he saw my girl,

he said ''oh yeah she was dancing up a whirl,"

"But she's not here now, she was kicking

up her feet, when she went out the door

with a guy named Pete"

It's seven in the morning, seven in the morning time

Just thinking 'bout my baby, thinking she's no longer mine
