Poem -

My Dear Mother

You were so strong, yet so frail.
Your heart so huge, yet so broken.

I loved you, yet I turned my back on you.
You supported me, yet I put you down.

                  Now you are gone,
I wish I learned that song.

It feels like it has been so long,
                  Yet I am still raw,
                     My heart still bleeding.

Sure, my heart is still beating,
      And I am still breathing.

I just cannot stop,
  Thinking of you leaving...

Your heart was beating,
   Lungs were still breathing.

In my arms you laid,
   While I continuously prayed.

So still,
   So cold.

Not even half a century old,
And you had to leave us.

I ask for your forgiveness,
And hope you are experiencing unbelievable bliss.
