My Dearly Departed Ex C-O-N-S

I have been weeping hard this morning, for “My Dearly Departed Ex C-O-N-S”;
My three Soulmates, Cody, Otto, and Nico, now to Heaven all have gone!
The last to go was Otto, the phone rang yesterday;
Someone brought me such very sad news, my dear friend had passed away!

I loved him like the brother, that I never ever had;
Although sometimes he was like a father, another Blessed Dad!
The first to leave was my dear Nico, over forty months ago;
Then two and a half years later, my dear Cody, third of this trio!

I am looking at their precious photos, all three with smiling face;
If only I could turn back time, and their departures be erased!
But time is never kind to us, it marches on and on;
You lose friends and dearest Soulmates, till one day, you too are gone!
