My Endless Loves

Inspired by Lionel Richie’s beautiful song “My Endless Love”
 
Three hearts that beat as only one, our lives that day began;
On that glorious Sunday, May 2003, when that puppy to us ran!
He came from a litter seven, the same Mother our Angels shared;
So we dubbed him Baby Cody, big brother Nico’s name compared!

For near twelve years we shared our love, our Souls were ever bound;
No greater joy had I ever known, than that which I had found!
But then our Blessed Nico, not yet fourteen years old;
Had to leave and go to Heaven, no longer near to hold!
.
So all my love I gave to Cody, for he missed his brother true;
Those hearts that beat together, now numbered only two!
Then for six months shy of three years, we cuddled and we kissed;
We brought each other solace, for our Soulmate that we missed!
.
But two hundred fifty days ago, you joined your brother’s side;
My heart and Soul exploded, as a part of them both died!
Now when I want to see you both, I look to the Heavens up above;
The new home of my Soulmates, my two dear “Endless Loves”!
