My Limpet

Nothing rhymes with limpet.
 

There's lots that rhyme with lumpet

like a strumpet playing the trumpet

having a crumpet,

but nothing rhymes with limpet.

And if you were a limp

there's the pimp on the blimp

with a chimp eating shrimp

and the imp with the limp,

but nothing rhymes with limpet.

There's even lots that rhyme with love

like the cockney dove who says

"alright bruv?" to his mates above

who push and shove the turtledoves

because they're not doves, they're pigeons.
 

Sweetie, honey, cherub and boo,

all of these can rhyme lots too,

but nothing rhymes with limpet

which is why I want to say to you...

Anyone can have a love,

it's not that hard to find.

But my love is a limpet

because she is one of a kind.
