My Mum My Dad and Me

I can tell you a little story of my mum my dad and me

it start’s a little while ago when I was young you see

The warmth I felt from the love they gave the happiness in me

When I sat upon my daddy’s lap and my mum read a story to me

It started off the same old way with once upon a time

And the way she told the story she always made it shine

My dad always put his bit in to make it funny to

But you always know the story they tell it’s always about me and you

So stop with what you’re doing and take a little time

To remember what you shared with them
