My Only

My Only

This is the woman who I love and adore with every ounce of me.

This is the woman who loves me for who I am and never questions who I am not.

This is the woman who embraces my every flaw, knowing every inch my imperfections.

This is the woman who I want present on my dying day, taking with me my last breath, ingesting my life.

This is the woman who realizes who I am, stands prepared, fists clinched.

This is the woman who has the courage of many, understanding her own limitations while unselfishly tending to mine.

This is her, naked and unafraid, unyielding, firm and resolute.

She, being who I am, making me everything I will be, blending our lives harmoniously as if God placed us together, himself.

This is my wife, the person who I would gladly look death in the face for, give my life while grinning, knowing nothing can take from me a memory of a woman who is perfect.
