MY LANGUAGE, MY POETIC HEART

MY LANGUAGE, MY POETIC HEART

I no longer have a language
I can't seem to utter a word
No way of expression
I can't make a sound to be heard
What I'm trying to tell you
It's what I feel so deep inside
My tears streaming, screaming
Like something within me has died
Because, somebody took my words
Stoled my articulation
How am I going to inflict emotion
I have nothing to cause persuasion
Give me back my spoken language
My words turned into linguistic art
Don't take away my passion
Don't crush my poetic heart
