MY PRETENTIOUS

MY PRETENTIOUS

Somethings fly with beautiful wings

And somethings creep and crawl

I thought you were one of the beautiful ones

But you weren't that way at all

Some people know how to give

Others only know how to take

I thought you were a giver

But that was my mistake

You showed your true blue colors

As you crept and crawled away

MY PRETENTIOUS little giver

It will all catch up with you one day

You thought she had the most beautiful wings

But she too, creeped and crawled away

She took and stoled and broke your heart

And you learned; Being a taker doesn't pay
