“My story be told” (Page #2)
On
this journey, I have embarked, fearless yet all
alone,
No means of support, nor civil contact, not even a
cell phone.
His
promise, he has entrusted and to seek, from far not near,
I
packed my bag with faith and hope and full of survival gear.
With
directions from he, placed secure in hand, destination clear in sight,
ventures
sure to be, of mortal challenge but faith be mine, this lit moon night.
From
the darkness he stepped and gave to me, a message had he drawn,
The
life you seek, for my blood did leak, I’ll lead you from my throne.
About
a mile in my walk, other voices began to talk, tempting each step that I gain,
Trials
you had warned, with sin they were born, the hecklers were clear and plain.
Ignore
them I may, for this life I will stay and conquer, all demons placed at hand,
One
after one they came, throwing accusations and blame, but like you, I will take my stand.
From
the shadows you stepped, my ground surely kept and he without shame, displayed pride,
In
my bag I did dig, my weapon of secret, figs twig, one given, by he who walks my side.
Face
to face we did meet, his goal, was to me defeat, and mine was to show him no fear,
My
road in life will be paved, for to God, my word gave and to you, I will make myself clear.
As
he paced then ran away, his last words we'll meet another day, yet today was mine to own,
He
knew then with God by my side and he nowhere to hide, his temptation and had chance he blown.
This
first nights journey has been long, my faith still full and strong, yet my life’s mission, has clearly just begin,
With
my continuation still at hand, trust placed in this one man, no lost will overshadow, my sought win….............. To be continued
