My Tears At Peace With My Father

My Tears At Peace With My Father

Everyday we live, we also know we die

Pride for who we are, and the freedom we have been given

Our youth becomes aged as soon as we are born

Tears of happiness, we are so blessed with time

Opportunities and miracles, we make way, at best

As my native father ages quickly, so frail with disease

Never to forget his brave heart, and where he stood, high on the cliff of life

I know now, he no longer suffers, as he closes his eyes

No more shortness of breath, now the storm is over, peace be the calm

No heart beat, the mind has stopped, all has escaped

My tears now fall quickly, sadly, emotionally, though differently

Never to forget his strength, as his hand touched this earth

For now my tears are with my father, who now in heavens arms

I hold my hands out, with the glow of the angels spirit, let it light

All spirits, my tears, now rest at peace

With the honor of my father
