Poem -

My twisted reality

The ugly truth,
you stole my youth,
My innocence,
You built me up,
To knock me down,
All this just to break me,
I am afraid,
Afraid of your rage,
Of the day,
Where I cannot be saved,
When I'm left,
Limp and lifeless,
Lying on the ground,
I remember the very first time,
You made me face your wrath,
Your eyes so cold,
An endless void,
Corrupt with no emotion,
I remember it so clearly,
it haunts me every night,
Your fists,your face your fury,
The darkness,
The way your fist felt,
As they made contact with my body,
The gushing scarlet river,
The swelling,
And my sorrow,
I remember I apologised,
Although I did no wrong,
Your twisted mind corrupted mine,
Till I was convinced you could do no wrong,
When will you stop this torture,
When will this nightmare end,
I need you to leave me,
To save from yourself,
As I fear if we stay together,
It will not be for long,
As your violent raging temper,
Is destined to kill me all along
