My Woman

My Woman

The Devil couldn't reach my soul
So he made a Woman beautiful enough
To reach
My heart

I like my coffee black
Like my Woman's heart
No cream or sugar
Just hopeless and dark
I drink it all down
Make a happy frown
Fill up my cup
I'm blowin this town

You're the pollution of my mind
The gas fumes decaying my insides
The oil diggers in my spine
I wanna kill you
But damn you look fine

Death rises after dawn
The fisherman and the hunter have gone
Doubled down in the bloody crown
Gazing down your soiled gown
The leaf and the flower talk for an hour
The Rabbit stomps a sight that's sour
Crimson crawdads pinch at your toes
Who's the Soft King?
Nobody knows
You're a welt
I'm a throb

Sorry for all the Resurrection talk

You were here darling
Now I'm there
Skull of ice baby
Loaded on fear
You were dark my dear
Long brown hair
You were there darling
Now I'm nowhere
