NEED A HOLIDAY

NEED A HOLIDAY

Get some sea breeze, top up the tan, what a joke,
don't need to because I'm already a coloured bloke!
Been to Bali, Africa and India, good old Blackpool,
in the 'sticks,' where my reception could be cool.

White coral sand, none of that shingle beach stuff,
crowded like lemmings, really just not good enough;
I lived by the sea, met Bardot stroking her fat cats,
in St. Tropez where Brits pretend in millionaire hats.

We danced the night away, I want to know what love is,
in Langkawi, island of dreams, I tell you it was the 'bis,'
reminisce, stored and caressed in your memory slot,
you know, time stands still when everything you forgot.ย

Stood on the beach, where you could pluck stars from the sky,
the romantic, forever, it was time to come down and say goodbye.ย ย
