A New Life

The budding of the trees, the smell of the rain on the green peeking through the grass
A new beginning, the seeds of life, renewed and a captured birth of spring at last
The song birds are now singing, the geese and ducks have flown from the south to the north
Returning to the melted lakes, ponds and rivers, to feel their webbed feet in the mud
The daffodils and tulips are popping out like puppets appearing on a stage to play
Now I see the earthworm as it crawls after an April rain, the rabbits are mating, dancing back and forth
Time to smell the fresh air through the screen windows of your front porch
A new life has started sprouting and the seeds of Spring have found their new ground of love

Dear Poetess Nancy McGowin,
This is a  good poem on the beauty of nature. Spring is in the air and the incentive to head outdoors is stronger than ever. It doesn’t hurt that April is full of nature. Add a spark of nature to your home by bringing a little bit of the outdoors in. I love having fresh flowers from my yard in a small vase in the kitchen or on my desk. I just love your lines:Â
" Time to smell the fresh air through the screen windows of your front porch
A new life has started sprouting and the seeds of Spring have found their new ground of love"
My applause, My Vote, My nominationÂ
Regards & Love
