Night thinker

The night sounds so peaceful but my mind is wide awake. Thinking about all the thoughts that have been trapped from previous days. The same thoughts keep replaying like a broken player. The same circle of thoughts just keep going. Can't find a pause button. They are never ending. These thoughts are more apparent in the night. It's the time where I can't stop thinking about the issues that are happening in my life. The night sounds so quiet but my thoughts are playing. Majority of the time I'm over thinking things but I can't stop. Just have to go with the flow. I have no control on what I'm thinking. My mind is just repeating the same thoughts that have been trapped in my mind. These thoughts are the ones that always be on my mind. I stay awake for many hours every night thinking about the same issues. They are more clear in the night. I feel different emotions but in the darkness.
No one can see what you are feeling. So many are enclosed. I try to think them all at once. It isn't doing me any favours. I feel imprisoned at times because my thoughts can be negative. How much I try to stay away from negativity the more I think about them. You can't escape the negatives thoughts.
You can't help what you think about or feel. However what you see and experience in life are the thoughts that build in the mind. They stay with you for a long period of time. The only thing you can do is to not let them get to you or change you into something you don't want to be.
The task is hard when you
sometimes aren't in control...

Hello Sana...
Sometimes, people take problems to bed...
Once I understood more and I began to recognize the thoughts that kept me awake...
I knew if I was going to get any rest I needed to think about something happy...
You're right it's not easy, but it's so much better when you can do it...
Very relatable write!
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

Hey Sana!!...... this felt like I was reading your private journal!!.....VERY compelling read!!...... And like Sparrowsong said ~ VERY relatable........ sometimes it's hard to turn your thoughts off ~ especially at night......I like the way you described it in many different ways...... as though you were using your write as a meditation to calm yourself.......I experience the same thing often....... My Doctor's say I have VERY high high's & VERY low low's.....regardless, I think there are many who can empathize here........thanx for sharing this!!.........ALL STARS.......LOVE and ROCKETS!!.......T xo

Hi Sana,
We both have similar night disorders. Mine is "insomnia" and yours is "insania". But I have found a way to use it to my advantage, when I am awake in the wee hours of the night. I will take a 2.5 mile walk, work in the kitchen on food preparation and write poetry, while I listen to the sweet sounds of "New Age" music. Most times, after 2-3 hours, my mind will tire and I am able to grab another hour of glorious sleep, and when I awaken, I feel totally regenerated. So, when the mind wants to think, give it its reign, and use it productively. Try it, you'll like it.
Peace and Love,
xox Larry
