Nobody tells us how we're supposed to care,
we need advice on how you're supposed to prepare,
so I enrolled at the care school, as you do,
including bedside mammer, plenty in the queue.

There had to be criteria, a different view,
of course it was obvious, apparent, just imagine it's you,
give someone a lift, in more ways than one, or two,
I did, it was most rewarding, just imagine it's you.

At the end of the course, I came out whistling,
at least I was now armed, ready, with something,
suddenly, I loved everyone and then it was done,
I tried to think of disadvantages, there were none.

All this time, I'd been wrapped in my own world of blue,
so prepare yourself, be ready, just in case it's you.
