No Joy

I fear there is nowhere pleasent for my thoughts to go. There seems to be no light that shines down this low. Faces are all ones I miss, ones I detest or one I have let down. Not a single spark of hope in this darkness to be found. There is nothing here in which I can rejoice. There is no road to better days because in this path there is no choice. I stare ahead to nothing through a dim lit haze. Only one road before me and I don't know where it leads. I only know that along the way, with each step, my heart bleeds.
