No one knows crazy

No one knows crazy
No one knows disability
The lines drawn in chalk by school girls on the asphalt
Are washed away
Or uneven
So We are judged with laziness
We are judged with stupidity
We are not the ones
Who come home from work everyday and turn on the tv news
For some of us the news
Is voices
Inside our heads
No one knows crazy
Or the jealousy of those that don't get paychecks
That don't have an identity
That get handouts from the government
I want to be proud
I want to have courage
Not shuffle behind the ones
Who can't see what I see
No one knows crazy
One day when I wake up
I will have slept deep
Without pills
And be able to drink coffee
Without anxiety
Windows
There are windows
For a time in the golden sun
I don't have to hide inside
But no one knows crazy
It's not like a broken leg
Here sign my cast
It is more like the blind loss
Of everything one holds most close
Gone like a bird from your hand
And unless you have been there
You don't understand
Lost in a foreign land
And always the question
Where am i
No know one knows
