Poem -
No Relief
You're everything I want
You take a piece of me
Everywhere you go.
I'm everything
You never needed
Despite the pieces of you that I hold.
You make me feel
When I go numb.
I make you ache
When you move on.
All I have to offer
Isn't enough.
All I ask
Is too much..
I'm ripping my skin to pieces
I feel shattered beyond belief...
I'm burning my lungs
To try and escape
But no matter what I do
There is no relief...

Arianna!  I can so relate to this write of lost and pain.  The last six lines say it all…one heart beat after another takes you deeper into the burn…until you are truly scorched from the inside out.  Somehow you become your own victim.  Excellent write!
