Poem -
No Relief
You're everything I want
You take a piece of me
Everywhere you go.
I'm everything
You never needed
Despite the pieces of you that I hold.
You make me feel
When I go numb.
I make you ache
When you move on.
All I have to offer
Isn't enough.
All I ask
Is too much..
I'm ripping my skin to pieces
I feel shattered beyond belief...
I'm burning my lungs
To try and escape
But no matter what I do
There is no relief...

Arianna! Ā I can so relate to this write of lost and pain. Ā The last six lines say it allā¦one heart beat after another takes you deeper into the burnā¦until you are truly scorched from the inside out. Ā Somehow you become your own victim. Ā Excellent write!
