No Soul
Have you ever felt so lonely that you couldn't even cry? Β It's no longer hurt I feel just an emptiness inside
I once had a happy spirit and a strong will to live Β Β Β Β But as I stand and face you now I have nothing left to give
My heart has so many patches there's no more room for thread Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β There's no more sparkle in my eyes for my soul inside is deadΒ Β Β Β Β

They say the pen is mightier than the sword. When it comes to fighting the kind of battles you (and I and many others) have fought, the pen may well be the only weapon available. Keep wielding it with the honesty and sensitivity you have here...and you'll become a great warrior-poet.

Thank you for your comment. I hope to post more of my work soon. Most of my poetry seems kind of sad and dark, however it does come from many battles I've fought through my lifetime.Β
This is beautiful.. I too have a lot of seemingly dark and sadΒ poems.. But it's the emotion in it that's real, I too have had to overcome a lot of hard times... I'm new here and glad I found someone I can relate with.. Keep writing .. I'm already interested!
