Noble

Noble

Noble knight qualms cower
Sword skilled stern and dower
Enemies grave with malice intent
Catastrophic tis happenstance spent
Β
Chain-maille align reinforced steel
Warmongers aught naught repeal
Come-hither redemption at hand
Safeguard naive kinsmen homeland
Β
Pillage, plunder enemies campaign
Along sacred valley, basalt terrain
Balmy heat and cooling sweat
Sanguine spilt, craven foes met

Cache of gold barter no favor
Brave honor morale to savor
Upholden by a solemn creed
Accursed tis a heart of greed
Β
Steadfast in principled belief
Spoils of war hold dire grief
Dusk adheres to bloodred sun
Champion's crusade n’ver done

Hi Lisa; by reading all of your reviews this is how I found out your name. Just like your other poem "Aurora" your demonstratively descriptive and definitively expressive imagery is so magnificently brilliant and obviously artistically romantic if not for another term. You try to keep a tetrameter meter of eight syllables per line and some have nine but still, the fluidity of your writing is so beautiful. In this poem, you have more intent of what the Knights really are besides being honorable and proud and in "Aurora you didn't really say exactly what the person or deity was doing or have aΒ purpose.
-Your rhetoric in writing is so beautiful and you adapt so well with your rhyming and each of you rhyming words or contingent to the meaning and concept of each one of your lines. Some of them are strained at times but others are extremely excellent. What I mean by strained is that they 're near rhymes and they have the syllables vowels and consonants but they don't actually perfectly rhyme.
-I enjoyed
-Thanks for sharing, Lisa, and take care and have a good one.
