Poem -

None Can & None Could

None Can & None Could

None can see her light, for scars
None can pull her out the dark
None can sooth those crimson tides
No none can feel the death inside

For none could seek to grasp her pain
As none would wish to entertain
No none had words to break her curse
For none acknowledged how much she hurt

But all did point a finger of blame
And all would throw their stones of shame
For though none really understood
And though none ever felt they could

All believed they had the right
To paint her in a monstrous light
And dictate how she ought to feel
By pleading that she force to heal

And so she rests in thoughts of red
As thick as mud
Head full of dread
And none shall ever understand
The grim truth held inside her hand

Mans inhumanity to man is such a sad hurtful  thing….

We put ourselves out there happy of heart only to get kicked in the face……

If one chooses to look hard enough and long enough, it will often be found .. its all in the looking .. having said that, it is almost impossible for me now to envisage your amazing portrait, without the accompanying poem, and visa versa .. dark and deep but nevertheless very moving .. Neville :)

Thanks Neville, this came about after discussing how many people just condemn those who commit suicide. How they shame them and say bad things. They don't understand the illness inside. Nor do they want to, because they are blind sighted by beliefs drilled into them that this sort of loss is a cowards way out. Just my artistic expression of that experience. Thank you kindly for your much valued feedback. I wish more people had the inclination to look deeply x

Gwen a more than sad fact of life for it is an illness and people who choose to then add to it by belittling others afflicted and suffering are those of negativity.
However, there are more good than bad out there and will never turn a blind eye or  compassion and more than just empathy to those who need it the most. The ones who choose give a damn.
A poignant powerful write that says it how it is in every society the world over.
But things do change albeit slowly and in the right direction.
An intense plea of a poem that doesn't fall on deaf ears ,thank you for sharing and your perfectly mirrored artwork to get your message over Gwen.x.

Wow!! GWEN!!....and Wow again!!......the darkness seems to have a ballet/an interplay between the picture and the words....... as though it exists in another artistic plane or dimension of thought and creative balance......it makes for a deeper darkness and a true feeling of dread that drapes over her existence like a never ending nightmare.....this is SO good....so dramatic......so powerful in its poetry and painting that the two would struggle to exist without the other!!.....I cannot state enough the purity and profundity of the dark realm her inner existence seems to be experiencing.....at least that is what I'm getting from this most STUNNING of poetic offerings!!.....My apologies for not commenting on this sooner...but I am so glad I caught this....it may be your best (in my most humble opinion)......PINNED obviously!....but....one question......in the closing line......what is it that's held inside her hand?  The instrument of her pending death?  A knife? A gun?......just curious.....and perhaps it's better to leave it alone.....to keep it open for interpretation.....Fantastic work dear poet sister!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.....T xo   : )

Hello Tony :) firstly, no need to apologies for being late my good friend. You are right on time, and left me such uplifting feedback. You have delved deeply my friend, and you see just as I see. Your words hit home perfectly. Yes let us leave what is in her hand for the reader to interpret, for I love how poetry and art can have individual meaning for all who view or read. But we can always chat about it in a PM ;)

Many many thanks for stopping by and leaving me your wonderful words. That are both insightful, and poetic in nature. As ever you are a stella contributer here on Cosmo. It would never be the same without you

Your grateful friend
