North not South

North not South

And what would it feel like
To turn out the light
To turn off the sun
And kiss goodnight
the moon?

What would I see in the dark
In the grey
In the sublime
In all the spaces inbetween
The nothingness?

What would it be like
To be you
Not me
To be accepted
To be human?

Would there be
Eternal sunrises
And forever sunsets
That blaze and burn
Always burn;

That caress the ocean
Of emerald azure
So deep
Too deep to discover
Too mysterious to bore

What could my heart do
If just once more
I could see your smile
Of a thousand stars
Of a million galaxies

A smile that;
could melt an artic winter
And entice the birds to
fly north
Not south

Would happiness float in
On powdery wings
Delicately poised
And sit for a while
Or even a second?

Could I not just see
A little
Just peak inside
But, i know
There's no coming back
