Nostalgia

As soon asΒ I left that dour industrial tower
I felt free, in a place that seemed so full of misery
But I looked to the red tinted sky and gazed lazily
I was mesmerised, inspired by a postcard picture
An enchanted figment of my imagination
So vivid and clear, so real andΒ so dear
The land was magical, there was something
In the winter air, i'm not sure what
But there was something there
The sky made me feel up high
The clouds were swirling in my eyes
Christmas nostalgia was bought to the surface
It suddenly didn't seem so worthless
Seeing the city lights,Β I remember those nights
I remember those nights.
