Nostradamus, COVID-19, Psychic Charlatans, Rumplestiltskin, Harry Houdini And Codswallop.

Nostradamus, COVID-19, Psychic Charlatans, Rumplestiltskin, Harry Houdini And Codswallop.

Nostradamus and today's psychic's how could they all not see it.
Coronavirus COVID-19.
The pandemic.
Today's many seers with all their magic powers of perception,
And shiny crystal balls are all simply codswallop.
Give me the name of just one who predicted it coming.
Years or even months before.
A big event like this.
A massive event.
A life changing event for people and the world.
Fortune telling and psychic powers are the stuff of unicorns and fairy-tales.
Along with clairvoyants, prophets, soothsayers, oracles, chiromancers,
Mediums, spiritualists, palm readers, augurs, tarot card readers,
And visionaries.
All charlatans.
All these so called 'psychic' seers...

Is there a Mary here in the audience?
No.
Ok I'll try the second most common and popular name in the UK.
Is there a Sarah here in the audience?
No.
Oh dear oh dear!
The spirits are sending me many mixed and confused signals tonight.
Is there a Ann here in the audience?
Yes!
Well it's about bloody time!
Anyway love, your dead husband wants you to know,
He's now more than happy feeding the worms.
Is there a John here in the audience?
No.
What do you mean no!
There's always a John in the audience.
Is there a David, Mark, William or Tony here in the audience?
You get the idea...
Now if any one of these 'gifted' psychics said,
Is there a Rumplestiltskin or a Mary Queen of Scots in the audience,
Or some other rare, obscure name,
And somebody said yes.
That's when I would be impressed and then sit up.
That's the moment it becomes interesting.
Knowing I'm dealing with the real McCoy.
You get the idea...

The great Harry Houdini stated he would try,
To come back after his death.
Clearly to no avail.
Now if Harry Houdini the world's greatest escapologist,
Couldn't accomplish that feat,
Determined to free himself and return from 'the other side'.
Who possibly can, let alone see into it.
And who can REALLY predict the future...

Cherie many thanks and great points of interest you have raised and I know of your first point and The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse.
I put this up last year on another site and Lodigiana made a great point about would anyone really want or choose to see their own future, And all that it entails.
Thanks again Cherie, take care and how right you are on your last point.
And as Lodigiana implies, perhaps it is best not to know.
Best to leave things undetermined and unsaid.

Hello Shaun...

As much as predictions and the Bible tries to warn of natural disasters, earthquakes, plagues, and other catastrophes...

To me it's a warning for those who continue to survive...

Take from warnings, learn from them...

For each one who survives there's always more to come...

It's never over until...

The End...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Being Me

You make good points, Shaun.  The future is not written in stone ... it hasn't happened yet so it cant really be predicted. Not totally. The future is fluid.  But there are good guesses,  educated ones, we can make about the future. Scientists have been warning governments about a nasty pandemic for years. They even predicted it would be a coronavirus. There was a programme about it back in the 1970s. They knew it was coming.  There IS more to this life than meets the eye though.  I went to a spiritualist church a few years ago. I went out of curiosity. It was a spur of the moment decision and so I turned up dressed very smartly as I went straight from work (estate agency). At one point the guy looked straight at me in a puzzled way and said, "You have a big ginger horse standing next to you. It's got a white stripe down its face. This horse loves you very much."  Before I could say a thing some women on the next row started claiming it was their shetland pony. The guy asked me if I knew anything about this horse and I shook my head. He started talking to the ladies but then looked back at me and said...This horse is with you. He went on to say other things about this horse. I just shrugged my shoulders. The truth is...it was my beloved Merlin. I lost him in 2009. I knew it was him because I know he is still with me and the guy described him perfectly. I didnt want to let on though. Later, the guy did some aura readings. I found that fascinating. I do believe in such things. I do believe in the magick that surrounds us. I always have done. And I do read and trust the Tarot. Having said all this, there are a lot of charletons (sp?) around so you do need to be careful x
