NOTE TO FAMILY

You look at me with such disdain
Your having to repeat yourself again 
Tell you what being, deaf’s a pain
It doesn’t mean I’ve half a brain

You think what does she know
Only life’s experience to show
My body may be on go slow
But my little grey cells are on the go 
 
There was a time in when I knew best
I too was full of life and zest
With all of you my life was blessed
unconditioned love at it’s best

Please stop and think before you speak
Sometimes I do feel tired and week
I give  the help you often seek
and my love when your sad or  bleak 

You will remember on  and on 
The fun we had  the love the bond
Treasure those days forever anon
For all to soon I will be gone
