We were so perfect for each other

One couldn't do without the other

We were like two halves of a whole

We seemed to share a soul

Everywhere we went, people stopped to stare

So many said ours had come to stay

They couldn’t wait to have what we’ve got

As our love seemed so hot

We couldn’t just wait to walk down the aisle

As we just couldn’t do without each other’s smile

We were so happy together

And promised to be together forever

Can’t remember what went wrong

As all we’ve built came tumbling down

The love we so much shared is now history

As we made each other’s life a misery

People who once envied us

Think we are under a curse

Love that was so sweet

Now looks so bleak

We can no longer stand each other

We obviously repulse each other

People who used to stare

Are the same who now sneer

I kept asking myself what went wrong

To end our sweet love so young

Our love that used to be so right and perfect

now leaves me alone with no respect

I bow my head in shame
