Nothing Left

Batter me against the shores
Of emptiness and regret
It's there my soul will turn to dust
And the world will forget
Nothing matters to a hollow man
So I have nothing left
The bitterness washes over me
And beats my broken heart to death

Just a shell to cast aside
I am a shadow to reject
They didn't want tovsee me smile
Or the happiness it would reflect
Instead they pointed out my flaws
And the laughter all came next

Now I'm just a distant storm
And I have nothing left
