The Poet Is A Ghost

When the twilight thunder echoes
In a black and ugly sky
And the dark and icy shadows
Move across your eyes
When the lightning, forked and frightening
Gives fire upon the seas
The poet is a ghost
In whom nobody believes
When the storming winds are fiercely
Battling moonlit stones
And the ageless cemetery
Vomits up her bones
And your thoughts are wandering blindly
Searching far and close
For the perfect verse which says it all
The poet is a ghost

Thanks so much Lodigiana x! You seem to be the only person who enjoyed it ☺ I'm not sure what kinda poetry other people are into, I know my stuff is dark and somewhat juvenile but ohvwell!
I Like poetry that has some sort of resonance- no matter the subject -which is why this appealed to me- It has lots of quality descriptive phrases, it flows really well and holds interest to the end. I am not into 'arty farty' poetry that I have no idea what its going on about! I read your poem out loud- which I always do, and it was a lovely piece of written verse so I hope you will keep writing and I will keep reading!
