Nowhere to go ...

silence in broken
by a single drop
reflected by the fire light
as it runs slowly
down her cheek
a salty tear released
through sorrow of the moment...

low sobs take over
as sorrow takes hold
all alone in that darkness
with heart breaking
nowhere to run
more tears released
her will to continue now gone....

curled up in a ball
racked with despair
only the warmth of the fire
and it`s  soft crackle
she gave up her fight
her pain was released
as she slowly slipped away.... . .  .
