OBVIOUSLY

It wasn't obvious
It wasn't meant to be
Obvious would have spoilt the fun
Caused a fear
Made her run

It was delightful and charming
Roses all the way
Romantic dates and playfulness
A wedding day

It wasn't long before hope bailed out
Happiness fled
Punched out with a clout
In the marital bed
And ugliness arrived

It wasn't obvious
To a new bride
Who wasn't expecting Jeckle and Hide
Psycho Sam
With a fist like a ham

No
It wasn't obvious
Punch! Kick! Slam!
But it wasn't pretend
It killed her
In the end
Obviously.

A Lonely Journey

Marionette,
Wonderful, powerful, important write. I don't understand people sometimes, and why they aren't themselves around someone, and then show their real, ugly sides after, and why they would want to be with someone so they could hurt them. Crazy world, great write.
Loved it!

Matthew.
