OCEAN BLUE LAST ROMANTIC DRESS----NOW BLOOD RED

That ocean blue dress she wore
the night her heart caught fire
reduced to a crumbled sorrow
spilling over a forgotten bedroom floor
passion a prisoner on another street
spat out
in solemn retreat

the betrayal came through a spoken curse
on bedroom edges
Sharper than the razors rip

Piano from nights falling grace
breaks in a glass heart
not the tears behind pride
hell is fleeing back from these eyes

An ocean blue dress
souls drowning in the creases
that night she wore

vicious mugged in your gentle speech
when you whispered
it will not hurt
moving into truly slow
a faded record
bleeds on the last
romantic blue dress
