Oceans Apart

Have you ever felt a connection with someone? One so deep , so breathtakingly incredible that if you were told it was all you would ever feel you'd be fine with it ? 

We have been held oceans apart but we were stitched together at the heart. My first love you have been & my only I hope you will be. Late night conversations dragged into the morning led me to love you more . If only they could see. 

"He'll only hurt you" they say ,"he's no good."I smirk & turn away . Then I silently think to myself of all the ways in which he could. He could leave , just  as both him & I have been taught. We are not as they were . For in love , we have been caught. You judge by past & things we can not help. How were we a part in our mothers leaving? We are not at fault . So why take away my little part of heaven above? 

So you try to set us oceans apart , not by miles but by our hearts. Let me speak this now , I'll save  you your time. I'll stay with him forever , Until the end. "You'll be counting your pennies , you'll be counting the dimes" you say . Let me ask though , why exactly does money have such a grand meaning or significance to you? A man isn't made a man by the numbers of his pay. If you had paid less attention to this , to past, to appearance & in the endless areas which you feel are reasons you have rights to pull me away for , maybe you wouldn't be where you are now . 

Maybe you wouldn't be torn oceans apart , not from a lover but from yourself . So go find yourself , then find a lover . Focus on love , and nothing but love . & do not expect my compliance while you try to tear me oceans apart . I , we refuse to end up in your place , in the places the "examples" have been set . We believe love is more than just the start , and we refute any opinion on us being apart . Different goals from you I have , goals that will be , and will forever stay , met. 

So don't hold me oceans apart.
