Ointment For The Soul

Much thought upon my mind today-
as I ponder where I have been.
Still, My heart reminds me-
Of chapters I long to pen!

As I walk about the present-
I sense I am not alone.
The Holy Spirit dwells in me-
The sweetest comfort I have ever known!

When the raging winds of life depleted me-
When earth's cares had taken their toll-
Times I felt I could take no more-
He formed healing ointment for my soul!

God's love reaches beyond my imaginings!
Though I am in essence, but a minute upon this land-
He cares, truly cares, about how I feel!
Comfort travels in many forms, all by his hand.

My son, this precious child of mine-
He has a power given him by God's trust!
For moments with him, will lift my soul-
Form castles from mere dust!

A friend, the voice of one who knows me-
Grace and wisdom, imparted to her from on High!
I listen, content in this precious realm!
My soul no longer needs to cry!

Oh precious moments along life's sea!
Let those billows roll!
I have found the secret to survive any storm!
Ah, It is ointment for my soul!
