Poem -

Old Men

I saw the soldiers
Marching off to war.
Lean, strong and hard
Like young lions.

I went to a mirror and there
I saw a grey haired, over weight old man.
How did this come to be,
What happen I ask myself.

Then I closed my eyes
And listened to the band.
Here they come,
The young men off to war.

And there in their midst,
I saw myself again,
Marching with my brothers
And we were all so young.
